The human consciousness is a phenomenon that has no explanation within the framework of a material worldview. It is not clear how something like consciousness, with all the thoughts, desires, feelings, etc., can appear out of lumps of matter. And it is even more unclear how that consciousness can grasp the laws of nature and understand the universe. Consciousness and its matching with the universe are well understood from the assumption that GOD created both. As Einstein quipped, it is a wonder how the human mind can even comprehend the vast expanse of the universe.
